米国で大学を卒業後、25歳時にカリフォルニア州立大学フラトン校（California State University, Fullerton）にて経営学修士（MBA）を取得。世界的な国際認証であるAACSB認定を保持する同校にて、財務・マーケティング・オペレーションの基礎を体系的に学ぶ。その過程で、学術面における高い達成基準が認められ、全米学術名誉団体「Alpha Chi」（全学生の上位10％）や国際教育名誉団体「Phi Beta Delta」など、複数の招待制名誉団体（Honor Society）に選出された。
